Subject: Board of Trade to Host 100th Luncheon, titled: Peace Through Service: Celebrating 100 Years of Rotary in B.C.
(Posted on Mar 11, 2013 at 12:14PM )
The Vancouver Board of Trade has put out the following notice about our luncheon!

Rotary International is a global organization of business men and women, whose mission is service – in the community, in the workplace, and around the world. Globally, Rotary has more than 1.2 million members in 34,000 Rotary clubs, all working to make the world a better place and contributing to peace through service.

Chartered in April 1913, the Rotary Club of Vancouver was the first Rotary Club in B.C. Since then, the organization has grown to more than 40 Rotary Clubs in Metro Vancouver and more than 145 clubs across the province. These clubs offer meaningful opportunities to participate in service projects and activities that contribute to the greater good.
Join us on April 16, as we celebrate 100 years of Rotary in B.C. To mark this significant milestone, Rotary International President Sakuji Tanaka will visit Vancouver and share the story of Rotary's role in the world today, including how involvement in service organizations can benefit businesses in the 21st century.
